Lead Alteryx Specialist
Role Overview:
As a Lead Alteryx Specialist, you will act as the single point owner for enterprise-scale analytics automation.
You will lead the design, implementation, and governance of complex Alteryx workflows and Server environments while mentoring junior developers and collaborating with C-suite stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Leadership: Design and architect end-to-end automation solutions using Alteryx Designer and Server, ensuring they are modular, reusable, and aligned with enterprise governance standards.
Workflow Optimization: Lead the development of complex workflows, including advanced macros (standard, batch, and iterative) and analytical apps to automate high-volume data processes.
Server Administration: Oversee Alteryx Server implementation, including user access management, environment stability, performance monitoring, and version control.
Stakeholder Management: Partner with business leaders (e.g., Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain) to translate complex requirements into technical specifications and feasible analytics solutions.
Mentorship & Governance: Define and enforce development standards and naming conventions while mentoring junior engineers in adopting best practices.
Integration: Lead the integration of Alteryx with diverse data sources like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and downstream BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Required Technical Skills:
Expert Alteryx Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Alteryx Designer, Server, and spatial/predictive toolsets.
Advanced SQL: Expert-level SQL for complex data querying, schema design, and performance optimization.
Scripting: Proficiency in Python or R for advanced scripting tasks and automation within Alteryx workflows.
Data Architecture: Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas), and data governance.
BI Tooling: Experience configuring and managing Tableau or Power BI for downstream data visualization.
