AWS DB Backup Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB
• Perform database installation, configuration, and monitoring
• Handle backup and recovery operations to ensure data safety and availability
• Perform database restoration and disaster recovery testing
• Support database migrations and upgrades
• Execute schema changes, refresh, and data patching activities
• Monitor database performance and perform basic performance tuning
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolution
• Work closely with application and support teams during deployments and releases
• Ensure proper documentation of database processes and configurations

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in:
  • PostgreSQL
  • Oracle Database
  • MongoDB
• Good understanding of:
  • Backup & recovery strategies
  • Database migration and upgrades
  • Schema management and refresh
• Basic knowledge of:
  • SQL and query optimization
  • Database performance tuning
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
