Unix Linux System Administrator will be responsible for maintenance configuration and reliable operation of Linux and Unix based AIX server environments. This role requires a strong focus on system performance security and continuous improvement through automation and adherence to Site Reliability Engineering SRE principles. Perform installation configuration maintenance and optimization of Linux server environments. Handle Unix patch management and server hardening to ensure system security and compliance. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues quickly and under pressure in Linux and VMware environments. Monitor system performance and daily operations including reviewing system error logs and managing process activity. Manage user account creation permissions and assign root privileges using tools like sudo. Configure and troubleshoot network storage and file systems such as LVM VCS VXVM as per project requirements. Manage and maintain VMware concepts such as DRS HA snapshots cloning templates vMotion and svMotion in a production environment. Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages like Shell Bash Python PowerShell or Ansible. Linux administration patching VMware scripting shell Python PowerShell Ansible SNOW experience with BigFix for endpoint management Cisco UCS and ESXi hardware servers.
