Job Title: Git Developer (Open Source Contributions)
Job Description:
As a Git Developer, you will implement and validate enhancements to the Git source code based on upstream proposals. This role involves close collaboration with the lead contributor and active participation in coding, testing, and refining Git features.
Responsibilities:
Develop Git features and enhancements in C under guidance of lead contributor.
Modify and refactor code using Git project conventions.
Build automated and manual test cases for the Git test framework (t/).
Investigate patch review feedback and implement required updates.
Perform local testing and validation before upstream submission.
Required Skills:
3+ years of experience in C programming.
Hands-on experience working with Git at the source level.
Familiarity with Git test suite, make, and shell scripting.
Prior experience contributing to open-source projects is preferred.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
