Key Responsibilities

CTERA Management & Administration

● Deployment Install, configure, and maintain CTERA Portals and Edge Filers (Virtual

and Physical).

● Storage Orchestration Manage global file systems, including cloud storage routing

(AWS S3, Azure Blob, or Google Cloud Storage).

● Data Protection Configure and monitor CTERA backup agents, snapshot policies, and

disaster recovery replication.

● Performance Tuning Optimize caching policies and bandwidth throttling to ensure low-

latency file access across branch offices.

Linux Systems Engineering

● Server Administration Manage the underlying Linux distributions (CentOS/RHEL,

Ubuntu) supporting the CTERA ecosystem.

● Scripting & Automation Develop Bash, Python, or Ansible scripts to automate routine

storage tasks, monitoring, and reporting.

● Connectivity Troubleshooting NFS/SMB mounts, Kerberos authentication, and

LDAP/Active Directory integration within Linux environments.

● Security Harden Linux OS and ensure compliance with encryption standards (AES-

256) and TLS protocols.

Required Technical Skills

Category Requirements

Storage Platform Expertise in CTERA Portal, CTERA Edge Filers, and CTERA Drive.

Operating Systems Advanced Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu/Debian) administration and kernel

tuning.

Networking Mastery of L2/L3 switching and routing, BGP, OSPF, and SD-WAN

architecture.

Firewall & Security Proficiency in Stateful Inspection Firewalls, NAT/PAT, ACLs, and

Web Application Firewalls (WAF).

Protocols Deep knowledge of NFS (v3/v4), SMB/CIFS, S3 API, and HTTPS/TLS.

Cloud Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP storage and VPC

networking.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification CTERA Certified Professional, RHCSA/RHCE, or Network certifications

(CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE).

Security Focus Experience with Varonis, Stealthbits, or other file auditing tools.

● Monitoring Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix for storage health

dashboards..

● Integration Knowledge of Kofax, Managed File Transfer (MFT), or other document

management tools that interface between applications.
