OT Network Architect
Role Summary
The OT Network Architect is part of the Network team and is responsible for defining the
architecture, standards, and technical roadmap for network connectivity and security
across manufacturing and Operational Technology (OT) environments.
This role works across Network, OT, Cybersecurity, and Active Directory teams to
establish a segmented, identity-aware OT architecture aligned with Zero Trust
principles, manufacturing resiliency needs, and enterprise security standards. The role
provides architectural direction for segmentation, identity integration, secure access,
and OT modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
Define and govern OT network architecture standards across manufacturing
environments
Develop reference architectures for segmentation, secure access, and
connectivity patterns across sites
Establish architecture for zones, and microsegmentation aligned to Zero Trust
Define long-term architecture roadmap for OT network and security capabilities
Required
10+ years of network engineering, security architecture, or infrastructure
architecture experience
Strong experience defining architecture for routing, switching, segmentation, and
firewall technologies
Experience supporting OT or manufacturing environments, including
production-critical systems
Preferred
Experience working with Aruba and Cisco network hardware
Experience with OT security and visibility platforms (e.g., NAC integrations, OT
monitoring tools)
Familiarity with Zero Trust, IEC 62443, and NIST frameworks
Key Skills
Strong architecture and design thinking with operational awareness
Ability to translate identity and security requirements into network architecture
Cross-functional leadership across Network, AD, Security, and OT teams
Ability to manage complexity across global, multi-site environments
Clear communication of architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and risks
