Administer, maintain, tune, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server databases (on-prem and cloud).Lead or support database migration projects to Azure (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, SQL VM).Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies using Always On, Failover Clustering, or Azure options.Work with infrastructure/network teams to configure network connectivity, firewall rules, VNETs, NSGs, and private endpoints for secure database access.Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and resource usage.Implement backup strategies, security hardening, and auditing for compliance.Perform database patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.Collaborate with application and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines, database deployments, and performance improvements.Troubleshoot and resolve database access or performance issues related to cloud networking (latency, routing, DNS, etc.).Understanding of networking in Azure:Virtual Networks (VNETs), Network Security Groups (NSGs) VPN/ExpressRouteSubnet planning and IP rangesPrivate Link and Service Endpoints
