Solution Architect
Domain Expertise:
At least 10+ years of technology experience with 2-3 years as a Solution Architect in the Payments/Cards domain
Expertise in card management platforms (e.g. VisionPLUS, Way4, First Data, CardPac etc.) and experience with end-to-end card lifecycle management, including acquiring, issuance, activation, transaction processing, and settlements.
Deep understanding of card processing flows, including authorization, clearing, and
settlement, as well as dispute management and chargeback processes.
Comprehensive understanding of card products, including credit, debit, and prepaid
cards, with experience in designing solutions for co-branded cards, corporate card programs, and loyalty/rewards cards.
Experience in developing and integrating loyalty programs, cashback rewards, and
installment payment options, to enhance cardholder engagement.
Experience with payment gateways, payment processors, and clearing systems.
In-depth knowledge of card industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, EMV, PSD2
Experience in implementing security measures like tokenization, 3D Secure to comply with regulatory and industry mandates.
Knowledge of data management practices specific to payments and cards, including data privacy and data security
Ability to assess and integrate third-party card management solutions. Experience in solution evaluation, selection, and early-phase project estimates.
Technical Expertise:
Deep technical understanding, knowledge and experience in proposing architectural design principles & patterns and justifying the benefits and drawbacks for Core Banking application architecture & it’s integration ecosystem (e.g. integration with switches, 3rd party eco- systems, REST APIs, ISO8583 or similar et al)
Adequate knowledge & experience of baking cyber and information security controls into products via methods such as Data Classification/Asset Valuation, Regulatory Requirements considerations (e.g. PCI-DSS, UAE Central Bank, GDPR), Threat Modelling & Security Requirements (Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover)
Adequate knowledge of and experience in implementing cyber security controls such as Authentication, Authorization, Encryption Algorithms & Keys, Data Security, Security Events Logging & Alerting
Some knowledge and experience of attacking and defending systems from a cyber security perspective
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence concepts & technologies including but not limited to Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Embedding Models, Vector Databases, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Agents, Agentic AI, Git Hub Co-Pilot, Claude
