Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Project Manager with 10-12 years of overall experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile/Scrum practices, specifically Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and a proven track record of guiding teams to success. This role involves leading and mentoring teams, removing impediments, and fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.
Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers.
Assist the team in self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel.
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgment, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Strong skills and knowledge in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
Knowledge of various well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (e.g., Burndown technologies, Retrospective formats, handling bugs).
Proven experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Proficiency in using JIRA for Agile project management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Scrum (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM))
