Salesforce Marketing Cloud Test Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Tester with 8+ years of QA experience, including strong expertise in validating end-to-end marketing automation workflows, campaign execution, and data integrations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of email campaigns, customer journeys, automation studio, and data extensions, along with strong SQL and API validation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations.
Validate email campaigns, SMS, push notifications, and customer journeys using Journey Builder.
Test Automation Studio workflows, data filters, queries, and scheduled automations.
Validate Data Extensions, Contact Builder, and data model configurations.
Perform API testing for integrations between SFMC and external systems.
Execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
Validate AMPscript and dynamic content personalization.
Ensure data accuracy across subscriber lists and synchronized data sources.
Perform cross-channel testing (Email, MobileConnect, MobilePush).
Conduct A/B testing validation and campaign performance tracking.
Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and marketing teams.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
8+ years of QA experience with at least 4+ years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud testing.
Strong hands-on experience in:
Email Studio
Journey Builder
Automation Studio
Contact Builder
MobileConnect
Strong SQL skills for data validation.
Experience testing REST/SOAP APIs (Postman or similar tools).
Experience validating AMPscript and dynamic content.
Knowledge of subscriber data management and segmentation logic.
Understanding of CAN-SPAM/GDPR compliance validation.
Experience in Agile methodology.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good to Have
Experience with Salesforce core CRM integration.
Experience with Marketing Cloud Intelligence (Datorama).
Automation experience using Selenium or similar tools.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
