Key Responsibilities
Lead teams across engineering customer support finance HR and IT ensuring alignment with Clients global goals
Build a collaborative innovative and high performing work culture aligned with Clients values
Maintain strong relationships with customers industry partners and internal teams
Represent Client locally at industry events and act as an advocate for company initiatives such as HR hiring and branding
Oversee daily operations facilities and HR in Sri Lanka ensuring productivity efficiency and compliance with local regulations
Develop and implement local processes that meet global standards while addressing specific local needs
Track performance indicators and report regularly to Clients senior leadership
Ensure governance standards and reporting requirements are met
Facilitate communication between onshore and offshore teams through meetings and local events
Manage budgets forecasting and resource allocation to support financial and operational goals
Lead change initiatives ensuring staff adoption and smooth implementation
Drive hiring onboarding retention and development of talent across teams
Identify training needs and implement development programs to enhance skills
Support hiring processes including interviews and selection
Promote productivity motivation and collaboration across teams
Work with department heads to identify and grow future local leaders
Mentor direct reports and emerging leaders to support succession planning
Develop and execute site strategies in collaboration with global leadership
Ensure compliance with all local laws company policies and governance standards
Identify operational risks and apply mitigation strategies
Ensure adherence to company code of conduct diversity policy health and safety and information security policies
Act as a communication link between Sri Lanka operations and global department heads sharing concerns updates and successes
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelors degree in business engineering IT or related field with MBA or advanced degree preferred
8 to 10 yrs of leadership experience managing engineering customer service and administrative functions
Strong background in operations management people leadership and stakeholder engagement
Experience in multicultural international environments and matrix organizations
Knowledge of Sri Lankan legal HR and business compliance standards
Understanding of delivery operations software development BPO practices and support functions
Familiarity with offshore regulatory environments and HR best practices
Ability to work across global time zones and travel internationally as required sometimes on short notice
