Power BI Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking a Power BI Developer with 3 to 5 years of experience to design and implement data visualization solutions for our MSPP (Multi-Service Provisioning Platform). You will be responsible for transforming complex datasets from Snowflake and AWS into intuitive, actionable insights. Given our regulated environment, you must ensure all reports adhere to GxP data integrity principles and SOX financial reporting controls.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard Development: Design and develop high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards using DAX and Power Query (M).
Data Modeling: Build and optimize star-schema data models to support complex business logic and ensure report scalability.
GxP/SOX Compliance: Ensure report accuracy and data lineage align with Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) requirements. Maintain strict version control for all production reports.
Data Integration: Collaborate with Data Engineers to pull and transform data from Snowflake and AWS S3 into Power BI datasets.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Technical Project Managers and Business Leads to define KPIs and translate user requirements into visual wireframes.
Row-Level Security (RLS): Implement and manage robust security models to ensure users only access data relevant to their authorized roles.
Technical Requirements
Power BI Mastery: 3+ years of dedicated experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
DAX & Power Query: Expert-level proficiency in writing complex DAX measures and transforming data using Power Query.
SQL Basics: Strong ability to write SQL queries to validate data in Snowflake against Power BI visuals.
Cloud Awareness: Basic understanding of AWS (S3/Redshift) as a data source.
Data Governance: Familiarity with Data Integrity (ALCOA+) and audit trail requirements in a regulated landscape.
Experience & Qualifications
Years of Experience: 3–5 years in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.
Regulatory Knowledge: Prior experience in a GxP or SOX regulated industry (e.g., Pharma, Biotech, or Finance) is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
