Pega Developer (SSA)
Role Overview
This is a senior-level technical role focused on the design, development, and implementation of complex, large-scale business process management (BPM) solutions using the Pega Platform. The SSA will be responsible for translating business requirements into robust, scalable Pega applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. This position is ideal for a hands-on developer with deep Pega expertise, capable of working independently and directly with client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build Pega applications, ensuring the solution aligns with the Pega guardrails and client business objectives.
Develop and maintain case management models, workflows, and business rules using Pega 7.x or Pega 8+.
Apply extensive hands-on experience in Java development to integrate Pega solutions with external systems via APIs and services.
Work collaboratively on 'Blue Print' and design documentation, providing technical leadership for the Pega components of the solution.
Actively participate in Agile project ceremonies, ensuring features are delivered incrementally and meet quality standards.
Conduct thorough unit testing and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including direct interaction with client teams.
Mentor junior developers and review code to ensure adherence to best practices and architectural integrity.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 6–8 years of hands-on development experience using the Pega Platform.
Certification: Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) on Pega 7.x or above is mandatory.
Pega Expertise:
Deep practical design and development experience in Pega 7.x or Pega 8+.
Expertise in Pega core capabilities, including Case Management, Flows, Data Pages, Activities, and User Interfaces.
Proven experience with integrating Pega with external systems.
Technical Skills: Strong background in Java development and relational databases.
Methodology: Extensive experience and knowledge in Agile software development projects.
Domain Knowledge: Experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain is a significant advantage.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients and manage stakeholder expectations.
Proven ability to work independently, taking full ownership of development tasks and deliverables.
