Role Summary
The Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) is responsible for designing, leading, and governing the
overall Pega solution architecture. The LSA ensures best practices, scalability, performance,
security, and alignment with business objectives while leading development teams and engaging
with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of Pega applications
Define and enforce Pega best practices, guardrails, and standards
Translate business requirements into scalable Pega solutions
Own the overall application architecture, including case design, data model,
integrations, and UI
Review and approve technical designs, rules, and configurations
Guide and mentor Senior System Architects (SSAs) and development teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Pega Skills
Pega LSA Certification (mandatory)
Strong expertise in Pega Platform (8.x or higher)
Deep understanding of:
o Case Management
o Data modeling & data pages
o Rule resolution & rule delegation
o UI (Sections, Harnesses, Theme Cosmos)
o Decisioning (optional but preferred)
Experience with Pega Guardrails & Application Quality
Technical Skills
Integrations: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, JMS
Database knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
Performance tuning and troubleshooting
DevOps & CI/CD exposure (Pega Deployment Manager preferred)
Cloud experience (AWS/Azure) – preferred
Leadership & Soft Skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Dutch Speaking - Mandatory
Ability to lead and mentor technical teams
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience
12+ years of overall IT experience
5–7+ years of hands-on Pega development
Experience in Banking projects – Mandatory
Experience in KYC/CDD Domain – Preferred
Constellation and Gen AI - Preferred
3–5+ years in a Pega LSA or equivalent leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale enterprise Pega implementations
Knowledge of BPM, CRM, or Digital Process Automation
Domain experience (Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecom, etc.)
