Above 7 years of progressive working knowledge of database technologies with excellent Oracle database administration skills in a production support capacity including responsibility for delivery support and maintenance of reliable highly available and high performance environments.

 Experience in database installation and configuration monitoring housekeeping upgrades and patching troubleshooting root cause analysis and performance tuning. 

The role involves 24x7 support for production disaster recovery emergency break fix user acceptance testing and development environments with rapid response to high severity incidents.

 Responsibilities include proactive issue detection and resolution service monitoring service restoration after outages driving root cause analysis to closure identifying and improving database service quality providing technical support on shift on call and rotational basis resolving production support issues escalating to other technology teams when required managing and progressing action items and driving automation and process improvements of database activities. 

Certified Oracle Professional with hands on experience in Oracle RDBMS 12c and 19c Oracle Data Guard Oracle ASM Oracle Grid Infrastructure Oracle RAC and exposure to Oracle Golden Gate. Strong understanding of UNIX and Linux operating systems with scripting skills in SQL PL SQL and UNIX shell scripting. Expertise in database backup restore and recovery using RMAN and Netbackup or equivalent tools database instance and query performance tuning Oracle Enterprise Manager OEM Control M and experience working in Agile Scrum methodologies.
