Job Description: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst – Smart Home Community & Triage Support
Role Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will focus on ensuring the quality of technical guidance provided externally and will act as an integral feedback loop, leveraging developer community insights to proactively improve the product and triage processes. This role is key to detecting emerging issues, maintaining technical documentation accuracy, and strengthening Google's credibility within developer communities.
Roles: 3 T2, 4 T3 and 3 T4
Experience : 8+ yrs, 5+ and 2+ years of experience
Responsibilities
I. Community Engagement and Support
- Continuous Monitoring: Continuously monitor community platforms (Stack Overflow, Reddit, GitHub issues, and relevant community forums) for Smart Home or WWGH-related questions.
- Response Quality: Provide accurate and timely responses aligned with Google’s technical, compliance, and documentation standards.
- Credibility Building Ensure replies are precise, actionable, and strengthen Google's presence and credibility in developer communities.
- Misinformation Management: Identify newly posted questions, trending discussions, or confusion topics, and flag misinformation or unverified guidance promptly.
II. Proactive Issue Detection and Escalation
- Pattern Detection: Detect patterns that may signal API regressions, documentation gaps, SDK breaks, or product bugs.
- Community Insights: Identify emerging user pain points or product regressions through community insights and feed them into the triage workflow.
- Escalation Preparation: Prepare AI-generated summaries (issue context, user impact, severity, hypothesis based on external signals) and escalate promptly to engineering or product teams.
III. Triage Enablement and Knowledge Maintenance
Knowledge Base Update: Maintain an updated FAQ, knowledge snippets, and response templates for consistent, high-quality community engagement.
