  • 10+ years of experience in sales in IT services, with expertise in specialized technology/ platform ecosystem/ practice
  • Demonstrated track record of identifying and closing new business in relevant tech area
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams across large deals
  • Ability to establish relationships and influence decision-making with specialized technology buyers (e.g. CMO, CDO) articulate business value and solution
  • Identify spend opportunities for clients in relevant tech areas and typical buyers to target (e.g., CMO, Chief Data Officer)
  • Engage with customer on emerging tech trends in focus practice/ tech area and showcase Virtusa credentials and differentiators
  • Originate practice-specific sales opportunities with customers and bring in tech/ platform expertise to initial client interactions
  • Scope and qualify opportunities for alignment with Virtusas capabilities
  • Shape tailored approach and solution for targeted tech based on client requirements, and articulate business value proposition to clients to convert opportunities
  • Engage with partner ecosystem across the deal lifecycle to launch marketing activities (events, whitepapers, etc.), identify opportunities for collaborative pursuit and create joint value proposition
  • Train sales personnel to drive discussions with customers and sniff out opportunities related to target practice
