The ideal candidate will have significant experience in modifying and creating XML Schema Definitions (XSDs) for FpML (Financial products Markup Language), which is essential for managing and processing financial products data. Experience or exposure to the capital markets domain will be considered a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesModify and create XSDs in FpML to accommodate changing requirements and new financial products.Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure XSDs meet functional requirements and data standards.Ensure the integrity and compliance of FpML data by applying best practices in XML schema design.Validate and test the XSDs to ensure proper functionality and integration with other financial systems.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to FpML schemas.Maintain and update existing XSDs as per regulatory changes, business needs, or product enhancements.Document schema changes and maintain clear version control of XSD files.Communicate effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders regarding schema development and implementation.If applicable, apply domain knowledge in capital markets to enhance the quality of schema development and solution design.Skills and QualificationsStrong hands on experience with FpML and XSD (XML Schema Definitions) creation and modification.Deep understanding of XML, XPath, and related technologies.Familiarity with XML Schema and related standards.Experience in validating XML data and schema based transformations Exposure to the capital markets domain is highly desirable ( derivatives, equities, fixed income).Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.Familiarity with tools for XML validation, testing, and debugging.Good understanding of financial products and processes in the context of capital markets.Ability to document technical processes and workflows clearly.Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.Education and ExperienceBachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of years of experience working with FpML and XSDs.Prior experience in the capital markets domain is a plus.
