ETL QA Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ETL QA Engineer to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL processes and quality assurance, ensuring the integrity and performance of our data pipelines. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to enhance data quality.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for ETL processes.
• Identify, document, and track defects in ETL workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Perform regression testing and validate data transformations.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on ETL design and implementation.
• Automate testing processes to improve efficiency and coverage.
• Prepare detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills:

• 5-7 years of experience in ETL testing and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data governance principles.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation testing tools.
• Knowledge of cloud-based ETL solutions (e.g., AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in ETL or QA are a plus.
