Key Roles & Responsibilities
Bring thought leadership in assessing and defining architecture and design solutions for cloud
Maturing to abstract the business problem at a high level
Conduct Client workshop, define strategy and roadmap
Evaluate and propose new cloud technologies suited for business solutions.
Ensure cyber security controls as required by standards are realized in the cloud architecture and design
Ensure the applications are designed to meet the standards on resiliency and recovery and other non-functional requirements
Define SRE, capacity management and exit management plans
Define best engineering practices through solid design decisions, processes, and tools.
Write server-side code to create robust product offerings that are highly available, scalable, and can cope with burst demand.
Champion Agile best practices, processes, and tools in support of DevOps processes.
Ensure proactive capacity planning and expansions.
Technology Competencies
Should have 15+ years of IT experience
Should have at least 6+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application design & development and cloud-based solutions
Should have strong experience in Strategy, Business Application & Technology Architectures
Over 5 years of Enterprise Solution Architecting in the BFSI domain, especially in Banking
Knowledgeable in AWS core services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Database, Security)
Required strong expertise on container-based solutions and orchestration
Required expertise with RDBMS and No-SQL database/in-memory database/warehousing (Redshift) services implementation on cloud
Required experience in Kubernetes, Python
Required strong expertise in solution architecture and design of cloud applications
Required experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practice, tooling, and techniques (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, git; Jenkins, Artifactory, Terraform, Packer, Rundeck, Ansible)
Required experience with at least one of data analytics tools such as Splunk and/or ELK
Experience in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC); Terraform or CloudFormation
Strongly advantageous – for data and analytics services implementation on AWS
Advantageous - deep experience in multi-tier application architecture, development, deployment, and support
