Experience
8+ years of experience in database development, including 4+ years of experience with PL/SQL and BigQuery.
Strong hands-on experience migrating data and stored procedures from Oracle (PL/SQL) to cloud platforms like Google Cloud (BigQuery).
In depth knowledge of Google BigQuery, including SQL, data transformation, and optimization techniques.
Proven experience with cloud data architectures and ETL/ELT processes.
Technical Skills
Expert in PL/SQL, SQL, and experience translating complex logic to BigQuery SQL.
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, especially BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
Familiarity with cloud-native tools for monitoring, debugging, and optimizing cloud workloads.
Understanding of cloud data modeling and best practices for designing data pipelines.
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and team members effectively.
Ability to work independently and drive a migration project from inception to completion.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on data quality, performance, and cost management.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications in Google Cloud (e.g., Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer).
Experience with other Google Cloud services such as Dataproc, Pub/Sub, or Composer.
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for data deployments.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices in the cloud.

Strong SQL knowledge, involving complex joins and analytical functions.
Good understanding of Data Flow, Data Model, and database applications
Working knowledge of SQL Server Database Components (Stored Procedures, Functions, temp tables)
Conceptual knowledge of ETL and data warehousing, working knowledge is added advantage.
Basic knowledge of LLM is added advantage.
Perform thorough analysis and articulation of risk or Finance Tech model data requirements,
Identification and understanding of specific data quality issues to ensure effective delivery data to the users using standard tools.
Provide analysis of internal and external regulations (credit risk)
Lead the design, development, and implementation of SQL-based solutions for complex business requirements.
Architect database systems and ensure they are optimized for performance, scalability, and high availability.
Create logical and physical data models, ensuring data structures support business needs and adhere to best practices.
Analyze database performance, using indexing strategies, query optimization, and partitioning.
Collaborate with development teams to define data requirements, integration strategies, and maintain a seamless flow between systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable database solutions.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of database designs, architecture, and processes.
8+ years of experience in database design, development, and optimization.
At least 5 years of experience in an SQL Solution Architect or similar role.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related SQL database offerings (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database).
Advanced proficiency in SQL and T-SQL.
Strong knowledge of database modelling, normalization, and indexing strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
