QA Engineer Offshore (Data, Power BI)Role OverviewThe Offshore QA Engineer will be responsible for validating data integrity, accuracy, and visualization quality across MDM and Power BI solutions. This role ensures that data pipelines, transformations, and dashboards meet business requirements and comply with governance standards. The QA Engineer will work closely with developers, data engineers, and onshore teams to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and execute test plans for data validation, ETL processes, and Power BI reports.Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for data pipelines and BI dashboards.Validate data accuracy between source systems, MDM outputs, and Power BI visualizations.Develop automated test scripts for data quality checks and dashboard validations where applicable.Collaborate with onshore teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test scenarios.Document test cases, defects, and provide detailed reports on quality metrics.Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards during testing.Troubleshoot issues and work with development teams to resolve defects promptly.Required Skills & Experience5 to 8 years of experience in QA for data platforms and BI solutions.Strong understanding of SQL for data validation and ETL testing.Hands-on experience with Power BI testing, including DAX calculations and visualization checks.Familiarity with Informatica MDM data flows and AWS-based data environments.Experience in test automation tools for data and BI validation is a plus.Ability to work in a global delivery model and coordinate effectively with onshore teams.Knowledge of P&C Insurance domain is desirable.
