Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Project Manager to lead our data initiatives within the insurance industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple stakeholders to understand data needs, create efficient data pipelines, and ensure the technical infrastructure supports our data platform. This role combines hands-on development with strategic thought leadership to drive data usage and governance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various stakeholder communities to identify data needs and design data pipelines across different platform layers.
• Ensure the technical infrastructure is robust and suitable for managing the data platform and associated activities.
• Create and enforce standards and patterns for high-quality development practices.
• Define features and capabilities that enhance data usage within the insurance sector.
• Provide governance and consultancy to users regarding the data platform and related inquiries.

Mandatory Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Azure capabilities, particularly Analytics tools including Synapse.
• Advanced SQL knowledge, ideally with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL.
• Experience in data analytics, information services data cleansing, data migration, and data modeling and design.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Spark.
• Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Ability to influence strategic data usage at both technical and cultural levels.
• Willingness to learn and propose innovative solutions.
• Experience in a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
