About the role

Virtusa is seeking a content operations and editorial program to drive the execution, governance, and scalability of an AI-enabled enterprise content ecosystem.

This role sits at the intersection of content operations, editorial planning, workflow optimization, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will ensure strategic and reactive content initiatives are prioritized effectively, delivered on time, and supported by repeatable processes, operational rigor, and AI-assisted workflows.

Working closely with content strategists, writers, marketers, designers, SMEs, and campaign teams, this role will serve as the operational backbone of the content organization, creating visibility, predictability, and efficiency across the content lifecycle.

Key responsibilities
 

Content operations and governance

  • Understands B2B content and the editorial process

  • Own content intake, prioritization, and workflow governance across all content initiatives. 

  • Have basic understanding on technologies including AI, cloud, data-led innovations

  • Manage editorial calendars, delivery schedules, capacity planning, and resource visibility.

  • Ensure proactive thought leadership programs are protected from reactive business requests.

  • Establish and maintain operational standards, workflows, documentation, and governance practices.

  • Drive process consistency across content creation, review, approval, and publishing activities.

Program management and execution

  • Coordinate content programs across thought leadership, campaigns, executive communications, events, digital experiences, and marketing initiatives.

  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and maintain delivery readiness.

  • Manage risks, bottlenecks, competing priorities, and escalation paths.

  • Coordinate SME engagement, interviews, review cycles, and publishing workflows.

  • Provide ongoing visibility into project status, delivery health, and operational performance.

AI-enabled workflow optimization

  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted content workflows, including Gemini Gems and related productivity tools.

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Partner with content teams to improve workflow maturity, content discoverability, and knowledge management.

  • Track adoption and effectiveness of AI-enabled processes and recommend improvements.

Reporting and planning

  • Deliver quarterly content operations reviews, capacity assessments, and performance insights.

  • Analyze content workflow metrics and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Support annual, quarterly, and campaign planning activities with operational recommendations.

  • Provide leadership with visibility into resource utilization, delivery trends, and process effectiveness.

Required qualifications

  • Experience working with workflow platforms such as Wrike, Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or similar systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
