Cloud Engineer - China - Guangzhou

Cloud Engineer, particularly with a focus on IKP (Internal Kubernetes Platform), would be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes & Kafka.
Must have:
•    Experience with cloud platforms: Familiarity with GCP, IKP, and potentially other cloud platforms. 
•    Programming and scripting skills: Proficiency in languages like Java, Python, Bash, and others, as well as tools like Terraform and Ansible. 
•    Experience with containerization and orchestration: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is essential for working with IKP. 
•    Extensive experience with Apache Kafka and real-time architecture, including event-driven frameworks.
•    Install, configure and maintain Kafka clusters in production and non-production environments.
•    Design and implement sclable streaming solution using Kafka Streams,
•    Manage and maintain Kafka Connect infrastructure for data integration across system.
•    Proficiency in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana and other relevant tools for Kafka cluster monitoring. 
•    Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP Pub/Sub.
•    Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. 
•    Agile and DevOps experience: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices. 
•    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field: A bachelor's degree or higher is typically required. 

Candidate to have hands-on experience on:

•    GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
•    IKP (Internal Kubernetes Platform): Bank's internal platform for deploying and managing containerized applications.
•    Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes & Kafka
•    Understanding of Production Engineering/ SRE
•    Experience on 24/7 services support.
