Job Description: Lead Techno-Functional P&C Business Analyst
Location: Chennai, India (Working Singapore/APAC Business Hours) Experience: 15+ Years
Domain: General Insurance / P&C (Property, Casualty, Accident & Health)
Role ObjectiveWe are looking for a heavyweight Lead Techno-Functional Business Analyst to drive the functional delivery of the Allied World (AWAC) 2026 Roadmap. You will be the primary link between the APAC business stakeholders and the engineering team. Your mission is to take complex insurance requirements for products like Home, Travel, and Maid insurance and translate them into world-class documentation, high-fidelity Figma mockups, and developer-ready user stories.
Note: Deep technical coding knowledge (Python/Django) is not required. However, you must be comfortable discussing API logic, data mapping, and UI flows with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities1. P&C Domain Leadership & Discovery
Lead high-intensity discovery workshops with APAC-based SMEs to capture the DNA of AWAC insurance products.
Speak the language of the business—discussing rating logic, indemnity, policy wording, and underwriting rules with total confidence.Perform Reusability Analysis: Identify functional components (e.g., a specific rating engine or document generation flow) that can be shared across multiple product lines to maximize the Ecosystem efficiency. UI/UX Prototyping (Figma)Use Figma to design and review UI mockups that maintain Visual Continuity.Ensure the user experience is intuitive for both Agents and Direct Customers, focusing on a Familiar UI strategy that requires zero user retraining.Finalize screens for key modules: Partner/Affinity links, Intermediary Dashboards, and Multiple Quote flows.Requirements & RingfencingProduce high-quality, comprehensive documentation (BRDs, FSDs, and Process Maps) that leaves zero room for ambiguity.Author quality User Stories in JIRA with exhaustive Acceptance Criteria (AC).Ringfence the project scope by ensuring every signed-off requirement is accurately reflected in the backlog before the build phase begins.Techno-Functional Integration (UI, API, Data)UI: Define the conditional logic for dynamic form fields and user journeys.
