Azure Cloud Engineer
Azure Cloud Engineer with hands-on experience on Azure Cloud Migration migrating
Application from On-Prem Data Center to Azure Cloud. Person will be responsible for the
end-to-end migration lifecycle—from initial discovery and assessment to technical execution
and post-migration optimization. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience moving
complex, large-scale workloads (VMs, databases, and applications) into Azure
Core Responsibilities
Assessment & Strategy Conduct deep-dive discovery of existing on-premises or
multi-cloud environments. Identify dependencies and recommend the best migration
path
Execution Work with Architecture Teams to lead the technical migration of
workloads using Azure Services for Migration
Security & Compliance Ensure all migrated workloads adhere to security best
practices, including Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and disk
encryption.
Optimization Perform post-migration "right-sizing"; and cost analysis to ensure the
cloud environment is efficient and cost-effective.
Troubleshooting Resolve complex technical blockers during the "cutover" phase to
minimize business downtime.
Required Technical Skills
Hands-on experience in Application Migration from On-Prem to Azure Cloud
Azure Core Services Expert-level knowledge of Azure Compute (VMs, AKS, App
Service), Storage (Blob, Files), and Networking (VNet, Hub-and-Spoke, Load
Balancers).
Migration Tools Proficiency with Azure Migrate, Azure Data Box, and other tools
Scripting Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for automation
and bulk operations.
CI/CD Experience integrating migration tasks into Azure DevOps or GitHub
Actions pipelines
Qualifications & Experience
Years of Experience 10+ years with at least 2+ years specifically in the Azure Cloud
Migration.
Certifications (Preferred)
AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator
AZ-305 Solutions Architect Expert
Education A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a
related technical field.
