AWS Linux Administrator
Job Summary
We are looking for an AWS Linux Administrator with 5 to 7 years of experience The role involves managing Linux servers in AWS monitoring systems fixing issues and ensuring security and performance You will work closely with DevOps and application teams to support production environments
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Linux servers in AWS
Work with AWS services like EC2 VPC IAM S3 EBS Load Balancers Route 53 and CloudWatch
Install configure patch and upgrade servers
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
Manage users permissions SSH access and cron jobs
Handle backups restores and disaster recovery tasks
Ensure system security and follow best practices
Provide support for production issues L2 L3 support
Automate tasks using Shell Bash scripting
Analyze logs and perform root cause analysis
Work with DevOps teams for deployments
Participate in daily support and Agile activities
Required Skills
5 to 7 years of experience in AWS and Linux administration
Strong knowledge of Linux RHEL CentOS Ubuntu Amazon Linux
Hands on experience with AWS services such as EC2 VPC IAM S3
Experience in monitoring patching and troubleshooting
Good scripting skills in Shell or Bash
Understanding of networking concepts like DNS TCP IP SSH firewalls and load balancing
Experience in backup and disaster recovery
Experience in production support or DevOps environments
Good to Have
Knowledge of Ansible for automation
Basic Python scripting
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
Exposure to Docker Kubernetes ECS or EKS
Familiarity with CI CD tools like Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
Experience with Apache Nginx or Tomcat
AWS certification is an added advantage
